Crème fraîche

To make homemade crème fraîche, just combine in a glass bowl:

1 cup of heavy cream
2 Tbsp buttermilk
2 tsp lemon juice

Cover and let stand at room temperature for up to 24 hours, until it has thickened. Refrigerate for up to a week in an airtight container.
